      <description><![CDATA[<p><b>Evening Hospitality &amp; Community Coordinator (Part-Time)</b></p><p><b>Family Promise of Gwinnett – Promise Haven</b></p><p>At Family Promise of Gwinnett, we believe families thrive when surrounded by community, belonging, hospitality, and encouragement. We are seeking an Evening Hospitality &amp; Community Coordinator who will help create a warm, structured, and uplifting evening environment where families feel seen, respected, and supported.</p><p>This is more than a job. It is an opportunity to help create the kind of community families can count on while they work toward stability and housing success.</p><p><b>About the Role:</b></p><p>The Evening Hospitality Community Coordinator helps create a welcoming, structured, and supportive environment during evening hours at Promise Haven, a transitional housing program serving families navigating homelessness. This role focuses on hospitality, relationship-building, volunteer engagement, smooth household flow, and fostering a culture of community and belonging as families return from work, school, and daily responsibilities.</p><p>This position serves as an important bridge between daytime programming and overnight care by helping create a warm, calm, and connected evening experience. The Coordinator balances hospitality with compassionate accountability while helping families feel respected, supported, and encouraged in their progress.</p><p> </p><p>This role is relational and fast-paced, requiring strong communication skills, organization, emotional intelligence, and the ability to lead with both warmth and consistency.&nbsp;</p><p><b>Schedule</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>5:45 PM – 9:15 PM</li> <li>3–4 evenings per week (including weekends)</li> <li>Consistent assigned schedule</li> <li>Shift swaps allowed with advance approval and confirmed coverage</li> </ul><p><b>Compensation</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>$12–$15 per hour, based on experience</li> <li>Part-time evening role</li> </ul><p><b>What You’ll Do:</b></p><p><b style="">Create a Culture of Hospitality &amp; Belonging</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>Welcome families, volunteers, donors, and guests with warmth and professionalism</li> <li>Help create a home environment where people feel safe, valued, and encouraged</li> <li>Foster connection and positive relationships among families, volunteers, and staff</li> <li>Model kindness, calmness, and respect in daily interactions</li> <li>Help ensure every evening reflects our culture of community and belonging</li> </ul><p><b style="">Encourage Families Through Evening Support</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>Support smooth evening check-ins and transitions</li> <li>Offer encouragement and positive reinforcement to families in their progress</li> <li>Help maintain a peaceful and structured environment that supports growth and stability</li> <li>Use trauma-informed approaches when navigating concerns or challenges</li> <li>Support parents in maintaining safe supervision of children</li> </ul><p><b>Engage Volunteers &amp; Build Community</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>Guide evening volunteers serving meals, fellowship, or projects</li> <li>Help volunteers feel welcomed, prepared, and connected to the mission</li> <li>Record volunteer hours, engagement, and service activity in the database</li> <li>Prepare thank-you cards and appreciation outreach that reflects gratitude and belonging</li> </ul><p><b>Support Household Operations</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>Oversee evening meal flow alongside volunteers</li> <li>Help maintain organized, clean, and welcoming common spaces</li> <li>Communicate notable concerns, incidents, or needs to overnight staff and leadership</li> <li>Report supply or maintenance needs promptly</li> <li>Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor</li> </ul><p><b>Who You Are</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>Warm, relational, and hospitality-minded</li> <li>Strong communicator who enjoys working with people</li> <li>Organized, dependable, and emotionally steady</li> <li>Able to hold healthy boundaries with compassion</li> <li>Encouraging and solutions-oriented</li> <li>Passionate about helping families thrive through community support</li> <li>Experience in nonprofit, hospitality, volunteer engagement, or residential settings preferred</li> </ul><p><b>Why Join Family Promise of Gwinnett?</b></p><ul type="disc"> <li>Be part of meaningful work that helps families rebuild their future</li> <li>Join a mission-driven team centered on dignity and encouragement</li> <li>Help create a place where families feel they belong</li> <li>Make a difference every evening through consistency, care, and connection</li> </ul><p><b>How to Apply:</b></p><p>If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of families experiencing homelessness, we encourage you to apply.
